UCLA students performed a cultural dance at the annual Navratri Raas-Garba event Sunday. The Indian Student Union at UCLA hosted the event from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Rolando Morales smiled at his daughter and observed the grandeur of Kerckhoff patio and Moore Hall. Morales wanted to attend UCLA after high school, but did not have the resources, he said.
Students living off-campus will soon be able to take a shuttle bus to grocery stores in Westwood. The UCLA Community Programs Office will provide shuttles so students can access healthier and more affordable food, said CPO director Antonio Sandoval.
Students remember Skye Donald as a professor who introduced them to the legal world with joy and empathy, even as she was battling cancer. “We’re going to miss that can-do energy and positive appreciation of life,” said Eileen Scallen, Donald’s supervisor and associate dean for curriculum and academic affairs at UCLA School of Law.
